The SalesCraft Story
When Sharon Little joined VMware in early 2008, she was frequently asked how her role differed from the sales operations team. Over time, she started to answer it by invoking that long-accepted phrase “sales is 50% art and 50% science” and sharing that she was responsible for the art, leaving the science to her friends in sales ops. Later that year Sharon presented a case study at the SAVO Executive Forum which titled “The Renaissance of Art in Sales”. That presentation generated so much excitement that after many conversations, Sharon formed the idea of creating a community where like-minded individuals could share best practices. With help from our great group of Founders, the first SalesCraft meeting was held in April 2009.
Since that time SalesCraft has explored wide-ranging topics from
engagement-based learning to perpetual Kickoff to leveraging sales
manager value, all while creating a knowledge base of audio and video
recordings, along with blogs to share the experience at our live events
with a wider audience. The Twitter and LinkedIn following for
SalesCraft include companies and individuals from around the world who
are invested in sales enablement as a profession and path to sales
transformation.
